Northern SSGs Condoles With Kaduna Govt, Citizens Over Tudun Biri Killings

The Forum of Northern States Secretaries to State Governments has commiserated with the people and Government of Kaduna State over the recent military operations that resulted in the death of civilians in Tudun Biri community.

This was according to a press statement signed and made available to Tozali Magazine by the Information Officer Gombe SSG’s Office Joshua Ɗanmalam.

The Forum’s Chairman and Secretary to the Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi who conveyed the condolence message in a remark at the opening of its meeting holding at the General Hassan Usman Conference Hall Kaduna, also prayed God against reoccurrence.

Professor Ibrahim Njodi while congratulating his colleagues on their appointments reminded them of their critical responsibilities as engine room of their respective states.

He also stressed the need for the forum to come up with meaningful policy ingredients that will help the Northern Governors focus on addressing peculiar development challenges of the region.

Professor Njodi further reminded the Northern SSGs the reality of impending restructuring of the country whether physical or economic wise, and the need to reposition the region so as not to be left behind in the affairs of the nation.

The meeting which is preparatory to that of the Northern Governors Forum to be Chaired by Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, scheduled for today Friday is expected to among others review issues raised in the last meeting as well as prepare its agenda.
