Gombe Govt Assures Citizens Of Uninterrupted Drugs Supply In PHCs
…Holds Sensitization program For Health Workers

Gombe State Government has assured citizens of sustained supply of qualitative and affordable drugs in all primary healthcare facilities across the 114 wards of the state.
The assurance was given by the State’s Commissioner for Health Dr Habu Ɗahiru when he declared open, a three day training and orientation program for heads of primary healthcare facilities across the 114 wards of the state, at the State Specialist Hospital.
Dr Ɗahiru said “The health workers who are the foot soldiers in healthcare service delivery, need to be acquainted with knowledge of the new system of drug management and administration for patients to enjoy effective health services”.
He charged participants to carefully study the new drug system document, for patients to enjoy modern healthcare services.
On his part, the Executive Secretary Gombe State Drugs and Medical Consumables Management Agency (GODMA) Pharmacist Caleb Faransa, said “All drugs being supplied to Gombe state are subjected to our laboratory tests to ascertain their quality and effectiveness, to ensure that the citizens only consume healthy drugs”.
The executive secretary revealed that all the 24 general and cottage hospitals in the state are fully stuffed with quality and affordable drugs to care for patients.
The duo appreciated the state governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his concern and new initiatives to modern healthcare system in the state.
Some participants who spoke to newsmen, appreciated GODMA and the State’s Primary Healthcare Development Agency for organizing such an important training, assuring that the knowledge gained will go a long way in keeping them up to date with modern drugs management.
