The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Gombe State Command has deployed seven hundred and eighty (780) personnel, officers and men across the state, to ensure peaceful and hitch free festive period, before, during and after Christmas and New Year Celebrations.
This was contained in a press release signed and made available to Tozali Magazine by the State Public Relations Officer of the Corps SC Buhari Sa’ad on Thursday.
The statement said Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and Tactical Commanders drawn from the counter terrorism unit CTU, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) to ensure adequate personnel are deployed at all vulnerable points across the state and also to safeguard all places of worships, critical infrastructures, designated markets, motor parks and recreational centers.
The commandant also appealed to members of the public to be moderate in their celebrations.
He said “Our personnel will display a high sense of vigour and professionalism while discharging their duties”.
He equally assured members of the public that the NSCDC Gombe State Command will be polite and civil, but firm in ensuring security and safety of lives and properties.
