The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has uncovered two additional fake government agencies as its investigation into the so-called Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) continues to deepen.

According to the commission, the discovery was made during an ongoing probe into the activities of the PFIPC, an organization alleged to have falsely presented itself as a government body. The investigation is aimed at exposing those behind the operation and determining the extent of its activities.

The ICPC said the latest findings highlight the need for greater vigilance against individuals and groups impersonating government institutions for fraudulent purposes. The commission assured the public that investigations are ongoing and that anyone found culpable will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.

Authorities have also urged Nigerians to verify the authenticity of government agencies before engaging with them or responding to requests made in their names.
