From force of nature type partnerships to fast paced yet intriguing model auditions to gathering effective team members, tozali African fashion and cultural week is gearing up to ensure its venue is full not just with attendees but beautiful afro-centric inspired designers and exhibitors.

TAFCWA is set to take over Abuja city in Nigeria by highlighting creativity, and philanthropy, in which part of the proceeds raised will be donated to Tozali Girl Child and Women Foundation as well as the DT Foundation, a non-profit organization which does not only provide a group of charitable services to the less privilege, but also provides aid and support to art, fashion and design institutes. Creations will be scrutinized by select buyers and stylists with merit within the local and international fashion industry to encourage designers especially the emerging ones.
With a valuable skill set of organizing while away from the country, Diana Thambe of Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam and Maimuna Abubakar of Tozali the Eyeliner Magazine have been able to further solidify their partnership by working in sync across vast oceans while co-coordinating with an exclusive team in Nigeria to gain effective traction where getting designers and corporate alliance is involved.
The event promises to bring together upcoming and established designers to showcase in three major categories namely; emerging, men and children and to cap off the three days the grand finale of established designers with adds on of the best two from previous categories.
Tentatively set for July 13 to the 15th, one can easily feel the excitement increasing within the following weeks, further planning is underway to structure the show, its team and African inspired look. It will be a three-day event to remember.
