The Nigerian Army has arrested four suspected Boko Haram logistics suppliers during separate operations carried out by troops of Operation HADIN KAI in Borno State, as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist support networks in the North-East.
According to military authorities, the suspects were apprehended during intelligence-led operations across different parts of the state. Preliminary investigations indicate that they were allegedly involved in supplying food, fuel, and other essential items to Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters, enabling the insurgents to sustain their operations.
The military said the arrests form part of a broader strategy aimed at disrupting the logistics and supply chains that support terrorist activities. Troops also recovered items believed to have been intended for the insurgents, while further investigations are underway to identify and apprehend other members of the network.
Authorities stressed that cutting off access to supplies remains a key aspect of the counter-insurgency campaign, noting that weakening the operational capacity of terrorist groups is essential to restoring lasting peace in the region.
The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining offensive operations against insurgents and their collaborators. It also urged residents of Borno and neighbouring states to continue providing credible information to security agencies, emphasizing that public cooperation remains crucial in the fight against terrorism.
