The trend of drinking lemon water first thing in the morning on an empty stomach is quite the rage now. However, those with sensitive stomachs should avoid drinking it first thing in the morning due to its low pH level and acidic nature and consuming lemon water can lead to a lot of health problems.

Many people are not aware of the right method to prepare lemon drink. Merely squeezing a slice of lemon in a cup of water and adding a tablespoon of honey to it is not enough to reap the benefits of this drink. How to Prepare

  1. Cut all the lemons into halves and boil them in water for around five minutes.
  2. Let this water cool for some time.
  3. Squeeze the lemons a bit and remove them from the water.
  4. Strain the water and transfer it to a cup. You can store the remaining water for later use.
  5. Add honey to this lukewarm lemon water and drink it.

Make sure you drink this water while it is hot or at least warm. You can reheat the remaining water before drinking. But, ensure you do not store it for more than three days. Try drinking lemon water on an empty stomach, and you will surely notice the difference. Remember not to drink lemon water if you have sensitive stomach; and if you must drink it, don’t make it too concentrated.
