Love conquers all pains

A romantic relationship will not cure your inordinate cravings and addictions; neither will it fill the emotional void you constantly feel as a result of trauma or neglect. You cannot steer the ship of your relationship successfully having the wrong notions, mind-sets, and unrealistic expectations. When you have the right mind-set and the right partner who supports you and will stand for you whenever the needs arises; then you can overcome anything.

Below is a story of two people who fell in love and after a while got married. Normally, everyone expects the bride to get pregnant immediately after the wedding, but in this case, that did not happen until after many years. Read on

A couple married for ten good years with no child and in the eleventh year a baby boy was born into the family.  The birth of the baby brought them so much joy, which knew no bounds because people that once called her barren were rejoicing with her. The boy became the apple of his parents’ eyes and they made sure that he was well taken care of. When he turned one year, his parents made sure that they left no stone upturned just to make sure that their boy had one of the best birthday party in town. A lot of people came to wish the boy a happy birthday and he also received a lot of gifts from his parents as well as the people that attended the party.

When he turned two, one beautiful morning turned into a sad day. The husband was about leaving home for work and he saw a medicine bottle open but couldn’t wait to pick up the medicine bottle and cap it because he is already late for work. He asked his wife to cap the
bottle and keep it out of reach of the child because the bottle contains a poisonous medicine meant for adults in very small dosage. She said she will do that, but after she waved her husband goodbye, she forgot to take the bottle and cap it and keep it in a safe place. She immediately started attending to other house chores and was so preoccupied in the kitchen and totally forgot the matter. The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to it. He got fascinated with its color, picked up the bottle and drank all the medicine in it.

When she was done with her work in the kitchen, she went to look for the boy to bath him, and she saw him laying down unconscious with the bottle close to him. And then it dawned on her that she forgot to cap and put it away. She hurriedly took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The mother was stunned and scared on how to face her husband. When the distressed father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he was so sad; he looked at his wife and voiced just only four words. With tears flowing down his cheeks, he told her that “I Love You Dearest”

Nobody ever expected such words from the father of the boy to his mother. People expected him to be angry because he had told her to take the medicine away from the reach of their son. But he proved them otherwise.  “The boy is dead. He can never come back to life again. There is no point in finding fault with the mother, the father said”. Besides, he continued that ‘if only he had taken time to cap and keep the bottle away, this will not have happened. No point in attaching blame because she had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from him and that is what he gave her’.

Sometimes we spend time asking who is responsible or who to blame and miss out some warmth in human relationship in giving each other support. After all, shouldn’t forgiving someone we love be the easiest thing to do in the world? Treasure what you have. Do not multiply pain, anguish and suffering by withholding forgiveness. If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world. So, take off all your envies, jealousies, and unwillingness to forgive, selfishness, and fears and you will find that things are actually not as difficult as you think.
