here are the health benefits of watermelon to our hair.

Prevents Hair Loss
Watermelon is packed with Vitamin C, which helps your body to use non-heme iron – this ensures that enough iron is in your red blood cells to assist in carrying oxygen to your hair follicles, promoting healthy hair. Collagen is also needed for healthy hair growth and watermelon helps promote collagen formation.

Promotes hair growth
Watermelon has Arginine (an amino acid) which is essential in our bodies and helps with blood
circulation in the scalp. Watermelon naturally contains a lot of citrulline that increases the level of arginine and is therefore good for promoting hair growth.

Moisturizes the hair
Even though we often discard the seeds, they are full of nutrients, proteins, fatty acids, minerals, and vitamins. Watermelon seed oil is often called ootanga oil or kalahari oil. It can be extracted a few different ways: the expeller method, cold pressing, solvent extraction, or oil clarification. Traditionally the seeds are removed from the rind and dried outside in the sun before being extracted. Watermelon Seed Oil is very light oil, which helps to moisturize and works very well in watermelon shampoo. Watermelon seed oil is great as an emollient for moisturizing your strands and scalp. This ultra-light oil does not clog pores, so no dirt can accumulate on the scalp. It is also extremely moisturizing without being overly greasy.

HOW TO USE

1. Make a few watermelon cubes and discard the seeds.
2. With the help of a fork, mash them and mix 1 tea spoon of mayonnaise with it.
3. Mix together to make a thick paste.

4. Apply this on the scalp with special attention given to the hair roots.
5. Allow it to sit for 30 minutes and wash off with a mild shampoo.
