It was a moment of captivating of love as the Grandson of Queen Elizabeth II on Saturday married a mixed race, divorced star of the popular American television series ‘’Suits’’.
The wedding that brought modern African American influences to a centuries old royal rite. Prince Harry is 33 and Meghan Markle is 36 are madly in love as they both gazed into each other’s eyes while exchanging their marital vows. Meghan wore a stunning elegant white gown- with a white veil and boat neck.
This beautiful, simple and elegant gown was created by British designer Clare Waight Keller, the first female Artistic Director at French fashion house Givenchy. Her hair was styled in an up do and shewore the glittering Queen Mary’s Diamond Bandeau Tiara, loaned to her by the Queen.
Prince Harry and his Best man the Duke of Cambridge are both wearing the frockcoat uniform of the Blues and Royals. Their wedding cake, a lemon elder flower bake that incorporated the bright flavors of spring was made by Violet Bakery’s Claire Ptak.
Lots of famous faces where there to celebrate with the prince and his bride. In attendance was Amal and George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, Victoria and David Beckham, Earl and Countess Spencer, Idris Elba and Sabrina Dhowre, Sofia Wellesley and James Blunt, Tom and Sara Parker Bowels and Serena Williams to mention but a few. Meghan has become the first mixed race person in modern history to marry a British senior royal.
