Did you know that the Yankari National Park is one of the largest wild life park in Nigeria? It is located in the south-central part of Bauchi state, in the north-eastern Nigeria. Yankari National Park covers an area of 2,244 square kilometers (866sqm).There are different types of flora and fauna in the park and numerous natural warm-water springs.
The Wikki warm spring is one of the tourist attractions and the biggest of the four warm springs in Yankari,which come about as a result of geothermal activity below the park.
The Wikki warm spring is about 13.0 meters wide and 1.9 meters deep. It daily flows 21,000,000 liters of clear, spring water into the Gaji River. The spring water has constant temperature of 31.1°c through the year during both day and night.
The spring boasts of crystal clear water that provides visitors with a chance to enjoy the warm water and relax in an environment surrounded by nature.
Above the spring is a camp with chalets for visitors to stay. The apartments’ have a lovely view of the spring and park.
